Churches, Schools, and Moral Formation

A reflection on the role of churches and schools in rebuilding moral, relational, and spiritual formation around children.

Abstract

A reflection on the role of churches and schools in rebuilding moral, relational, and spiritual formation around children.

Reflection

Church-sponsored education carries a long memory of sacrifice, prayer, literacy, discipline, and community formation. Yet a school with a church name still needs active spiritual and relational presence. This reflection asks how churches can serve schools wisely: not by controlling every decision, but by strengthening chaplaincy, parent engagement, ethical leadership, listening, mentoring, and care for vulnerable students.
